According to Marc Stein of ESPN, three teams have landed meetings with superstar free agent Kevin Durant. The Golden State Warriors, the San Antonio Spurs, and the Oklahoma City Thunder will get the first shot at pitching for Durant’s talents.

This has to be seen as a discouraging sign for fans of the Los Angeles Lakers and the New York Knicks, as well as the #KD2DC crowd over in Washington. But this is just Durant’s first round of meetings and he s expected to do more.
The Miami Heat have also been able to remain in the conversation for possible KD destinations.
For months now, it has seemed like the Warriors are frontrunners if Durant chooses to leave the Thunder. But the Spurs having a chance to get the 2014 MVP in a room with Poppovich, Duncan, and all of those championship rings is huge.
