As soon as free agency started, Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James made it clear he would be resigning with the Cavs. The thing that was unclear was…. when he was going to resign. Every major free agent signed over a month ago, but LeBron decided to wait until today.

The only real surprise here is that LeBron opted for a three-year contract instead of signing another one-year deal so he could become the highest-paid player in history next season.
Unless there are yet unannounced player options in the deal, we won’t have to worry about another LeBron free agency for a few years. May we all be so lucky.
